What suffixes means enzyme?

The most common suffix indicating an enzyme is -ase.

Here are some examples:

* Lactase breaks down lactose.

* Amylase breaks down starch.

* Protease breaks down proteins.

* Lipase breaks down fats.

There are a few other suffixes that might be used, but they are less common:

* -in: Pepsin, Trypsin

* -zyme: Catalase

It's important to note that not all words ending in -ase are enzymes. For example, "oxidase" can refer to a chemical compound.
