Is when a conjunction?

"When" can be a conjunction or an adverb. It depends on how it's used in a sentence.

As a conjunction:

* Subordinating Conjunction: When used to introduce a dependent clause, it shows the relationship between the dependent clause and the independent clause.

* Example: *I will go to the park when the weather is nice.* (The dependent clause "when the weather is nice" tells us the condition under which the independent clause "I will go to the park" will happen.)

As an adverb:

* Adverb of Time: When used alone, it indicates a specific time.

* Example: *I will see you when?* (It asks about the specific time of the meeting.)
