What is it called when more than one verb in a sentence?

When a sentence has more than one verb, it's called a compound verb.

Here are some examples:

* She ran and jumped. (The verbs are "ran" and "jumped")

* He will eat and sleep. (The verbs are "will eat" and "sleep")

* We have studied and learned. (The verbs are "have studied" and "learned")

Remember that a compound verb can include helping verbs (like "will", "have", "can") as well as main verbs.
