What do you put at the end of a sentence?

You put a period (.) at the end of a sentence.

However, there are other punctuation marks you can use depending on the type of sentence:

* Question mark (?) for questions.

* Exclamation point (!) for exclamations or strong emphasis.

* Ellipsis (...) to indicate an unfinished thought, a pause, or omitted words.

* Semicolon (;) to separate independent clauses that are closely related.

* Colon (:) to introduce a list, explanation, or quotation.
