How do you add punctuation to a declarative sentence?

A declarative sentence, which states a fact or opinion, typically ends with a period (.).

Here are some examples:

* The sky is blue.

* I love to eat pizza.

* The cat sat on the mat.

Important Note: While a period is the most common punctuation for declarative sentences, there are some rare exceptions:

* Interrogative sentences, which ask a question, end with a question mark (?).

* Exclamatory sentences, which express strong emotion, end with an exclamation point (!).
