Characteristics of Interrogative Sentences:
* They usually begin with a question word:
* Who, what, where, when, why, how (e.g., "Who is your favorite author?")
* They can be formed using auxiliary verbs:
* Do, does, did, is, are, was, were, will, can, could, should, may, might, have, has, had (e.g., "Do you like pizza?")
* The subject and verb often appear in inverted order:
* (e.g., "Are you coming to the party?" instead of "You are coming to the party.")
Examples:
* What is your name?
* Where are you going?
* Why are you sad?
* Can you help me?
* Did you see the movie?
In contrast, a declarative sentence makes a statement and an imperative sentence gives a command.
