What coordinating conjunctions are used to join sentences?

Here are the coordinating conjunctions used to join sentences (also known as independent clauses):

* And

* Nor

* But

* Or

* Yet

* So

These are often remembered with the acronym FANBOYS.

Examples:

* Not Just For Sentences: Coordinating conjunctions can also be used to join words, phrases, and dependent clauses.
