The base form of verb is also known as what?

The base form of a verb is also known as the infinitive.

It's the simplest form of the verb, usually preceded by "to":

* to walk

* to eat

* to sleep

Keep in mind that the infinitive is not always used with "to." For example, in sentences like "I walk every day" or "You eat breakfast," the verbs "walk" and "eat" are in the infinitive form without "to."
