Give the past participle and simple of regular verbs?

Let's break down regular verb forms!

Regular verbs follow a simple pattern for their past participle and simple past:

* Simple Past: Add "-ed" to the base form.

* Past Participle: Add "-ed" to the base form.

Examples:

| Base Form | Simple Past | Past Participle |

|---|---|---|

| walk | walked | walked |

| jump | jumped | jumped |

| play | played | played |

| talk | talked | talked |

| laugh | laughed | laughed |

Important Notes:

* Double the final consonant before adding "-ed" if the base form ends in a consonant followed by a single vowel: like "stopped" (stop), "planned" (plan), "jogged" (jog).

* Change the "y" to an "i" before adding "-ed" if the base form ends in a consonant followed by "y": like "studied" (study), "carried" (carry), "copied" (copy).

* Some verbs are irregular and don't follow this pattern. For example, "go" becomes "went" and "gone."
