Are you supposed to put a comma between persons last name and their suffix?

You do not put a comma between a person's last name and their suffix (like Jr., Sr., II, etc.).

Example:

* Correct: John Smith Jr.

* Incorrect: John Smith, Jr.

The suffix is considered part of the person's name and is written directly after the last name.
