What part of speech is humorous?

"Humorous" is an adjective.

Here's why:

* It describes a noun: You can say "a humorous story," "a humorous situation," or "a humorous person." It tells us something about the noun.

* It doesn't act as a verb, adverb, or pronoun: It doesn't describe an action, modify another word, or stand in for a noun.
