Is a the first word in dictionary?

That's a fun question!

It depends on the dictionary!

* Traditional dictionaries: Usually start with "A" and then words starting with "A" are ordered alphabetically.

* Some dictionaries: Might have special entries at the very beginning, like a preface, a table of contents, or a guide to using the dictionary.

So, while "A" is often the first word listed, it might not be the first entry!
