What three ways may an imperative sentence be punctuated?

An imperative sentence can be punctuated in three ways:

1. With a period (.) This is the most common way to end an imperative sentence. It indicates a simple, direct command.

* Example: Please close the door.

2. With an exclamation point (!) This is used when the command is more forceful or urgent.

* Example: Get out of here!

3. With a question mark (?) This is used when the command is phrased as a polite request.

* Example: Would you mind passing the salt?
