What are the two types of adjective?

There isn't a universally accepted way to classify adjectives into just two types. However, a common and helpful distinction is between:

1. Descriptive Adjectives: These describe qualities or characteristics of nouns. They answer questions like "What kind?" "Which one?" or "How many?"

* Examples: beautiful, red, large, happy, three, old

2. Limiting Adjectives: These limit or specify the noun they modify. They often indicate quantity, possession, or demonstrate a specific relationship.

* Examples: my, your, their, this, that, some, few, all, many, several

It's important to note that other classifications exist, such as attributive adjectives (appearing before the noun they modify) and predicative adjectives (appearing after a linking verb), but these are not as fundamental as the descriptive/limiting distinction.
