What are the 12 pronouns?

There are not exactly 12 pronouns, but rather a whole lot more. However, there are 12 personal pronouns that are often grouped together:

Singular:

* I: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "I went to the store.")

* You: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "You are a good friend.")

* He: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "He plays the guitar.")

* She: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "She likes to dance.")

* It: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "It is raining.")

Plural:

* We: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "We went to the park.")

* You: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "You all are welcome.")

* They: used as the subject of a verb (e.g., "They finished their project.")

Object Pronouns:

* Me: used as the object of a verb or preposition (e.g., "Give the book to me.")

* You: used as the object of a verb or preposition (e.g., "I saw you at the cafe.")

* Him: used as the object of a verb or preposition (e.g., "I gave the ball to him.")

* Her: used as the object of a verb or preposition (e.g., "I talked to her on the phone.")

Important note: There are many other types of pronouns (possessive, reflexive, demonstrative, interrogative, relative, etc.) and the list of personal pronouns can be expanded to include gender-neutral and other pronoun sets.
