What form of verb does a passive voice contain?

A passive voice sentence contains the past participle form of the verb.

Here's why:

* Passive voice structure: Subject + be verb (is, are, was, were, etc.) + past participle + (by + agent)

* Past participle indicates a completed action.

For example:

* Active: The dog chased the ball. (past tense)

* Passive: The ball was chased by the dog. (past participle "chased")
