What type of noun is the word air?

"Air" is a common noun and an uncountable noun.

* Common noun: It refers to a general type of thing, not a specific person, place, or thing.

* Uncountable noun: It cannot be counted, so it does not have a plural form. You can't say "two airs".

You can say "a breath of fresh air", but "air" itself is not countable.
