What is a list of the imperative verbs?

It's impossible to list *all* imperative verbs because the list would be endless!

Here's why:

* Imperative verbs express commands or requests. They're the "do this" or "don't do that" verbs.

* Any verb can be used in the imperative mood. Take any verb you can think of (run, eat, sleep, sing, create...) and you can make it imperative.

Here's how to identify an imperative verb:

* It's the base form of the verb (the infinitive without "to").

* It's usually the first word of the sentence.

* It's directed at a specific person or people.

Examples of imperative verbs:

* Go!

* Stop!

* Listen.

* Be quiet.

* Please wait.

* Don't forget.

* Open the door.

* Tell me the truth.

* Smile.
