What is sentence in question pattern?

A sentence in question pattern is a sentence that asks a question. It typically has the following characteristics:

1. Starts with a question word (wh-word):

- Who: Who is your favorite singer?

- What: What is your favorite color?

- Where: Where do you live?

- When: When did you last go to the beach?

- Why: Why are you studying English?

- How: How did you get here?

2. Inverted word order:

- The auxiliary verb (helping verb) comes before the subject.

- Example: "Are you going to the party?" (Instead of "You are going to the party.")

3. Ends with a question mark (?).

Examples of sentences in question pattern:

* What is your name?

* Where are you from?

* Why are you laughing?

* Can you help me with this?

* Did you finish your homework?

Types of Questions:

* Yes/No Questions: These can be answered with a simple "yes" or "no." Example: "Are you hungry?"

* Wh-Questions: These questions seek specific information. Example: "What is your favorite food?"

* Alternative Questions: These questions offer a choice. Example: "Do you want tea or coffee?"

Note: Not all sentences that start with a question word are questions. For example, "What a beautiful day!" is an exclamation, not a question.
