A proper noun always starts with what letter?

This is a bit of a trick question! Proper nouns don't *always* start with a specific letter.

Here's why:

* Proper nouns are names of specific people, places, or things.

* They are capitalized to distinguish them from common nouns.

Examples:

* People: John, Mary, Barack Obama

* Places: London, Mount Everest, the Amazon River

* Things: Facebook, iPhone, The Great Wall of China

As you can see, proper nouns can start with any letter of the alphabet!
