Is the word book an abstract or concrete noun?

"Book" is a concrete noun.

Here's why:

* Concrete nouns refer to things that can be perceived by the senses (sight, touch, smell, taste, hearing). You can see, touch, and even smell a book.

* Abstract nouns refer to ideas, concepts, qualities, or feelings that cannot be perceived by the senses.

While the information *within* a book is abstract, the physical book itself is a tangible object.
