Is accept an abstract noun or a common noun?

"Accept" is a verb, not a noun.

Here's why:

* Verbs express actions or states of being. "Accept" describes the action of receiving something willingly.

* Nouns are words that name people, places, things, or ideas.

While "acceptance" is an abstract noun (referring to the state of being accepted), "accept" itself is not a noun.
