What does the word tangible mean?

Tangible means something that is real, concrete, and can be touched or perceived by the senses.

Here are some examples:

* Tangible objects: A chair, a book, a piece of fruit

* Tangible evidence: A fingerprint, a video recording, a signed contract

* Tangible benefits: A salary increase, a promotion, a new car

Opposite of Tangible: Intangible

Intangible things are things that cannot be touched, such as:

* Emotions: Love, happiness, sadness

* Ideas: Creativity, justice, freedom

* Concepts: Time, space, infinity

In a nutshell: Tangible things are things you can hold in your hand, while intangible things are things you can only think about or feel.
