What are the comparative and superlative of hind?

The word "hind" is an adjective, but it doesn't have comparative or superlative forms. It's used to describe the rear part of an animal, and those are absolute terms.

You can, however, use the words "further" or "farthest" to describe something being further back than another, as in:

* "The further hind leg was injured."

* "The farthest hind leg was the most affected."

But those don't directly modify the word "hind" itself.
