What part of speech is aimless?

"Aimless" is an adjective.

Here's why:

* It describes a noun: It tells us something about the noun it modifies. For example, "The aimless wanderer walked the streets." Here, "aimless" describes the noun "wanderer".

* It answers the question "what kind?": We could ask "What kind of wanderer?" and the answer would be "aimless."
