What part of speech is homogeneous?

"Homogeneous" can be two different parts of speech, depending on how it's used:

* Adjective: When describing something as being made up of similar parts or elements, "homogeneous" is an adjective.

* Example: "The population of this town is very homogeneous."

* Noun: "Homogeneity" refers to the state or quality of being homogeneous. It is a noun.

* Example: "The homogeneity of the group made it difficult to find diverse perspectives."
