What type of speech is rain?

Rain itself doesn't have a "type of speech" in the human sense. It's a natural phenomenon, not a form of communication.

However, people often use figurative language to describe the sound of rain, giving it a human-like quality:

* "The rain whispered secrets to the leaves." This personifies the rain, giving it the ability to whisper, which is a form of speech.

* "The rain hammered on the roof." This uses the metaphor of hammering to describe the sound of heavy rain.

So, while rain itself doesn't speak, we often use metaphors and personification to describe it as if it were communicating with us.
