What is a homophonse?

A homophone is a word that sounds the same as another word but has a different meaning and spelling.

Here are some examples:

* To, too, two: These words all sound the same, but "to" is a preposition, "too" means "also" or "excessively," and "two" is the number.

* There, their, they're: "There" indicates a place, "their" shows possession, and "they're" is a contraction of "they are."

* See, sea: "See" is a verb meaning "to perceive with the eyes," while "sea" is a large body of saltwater.

Homophones can be tricky because they sound alike, making it easy to mix them up in writing. Always be sure to choose the correct spelling based on the intended meaning.
