Who pronounced the sentence of deth on Jesus?

The sentence of death on Jesus was pronounced by Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea at the time.

While the Jewish Sanhedrin (religious court) found Jesus guilty of blasphemy and demanded his execution, Pilate initially hesitated. He saw no grounds for a capital offense and attempted to release Jesus. However, under pressure from the crowd and the threat of rebellion, Pilate eventually succumbed and sentenced Jesus to crucifixion.
