What does Vous amiez mean?

"Vous amiez" is the formal plural form of the French verb "aimer" (to love). It translates to:

* You loved (past tense, referring to a past action)

* You used to love (past habitual action)

The formal "vous" is used to address:

* Multiple people you don't know well

* People you want to show respect to

* Someone older than you

Examples:

* Vous amiez le chocolat quand vous étiez enfant. (You loved chocolate when you were a child.)

* Vous amiez voyager en France? (Did you used to travel to France?)

Note: The "vous" form is also the formal singular, used when addressing someone you want to be polite to. The informal singular form of "aimer" in the past tense would be "tu aimais".
