Is quietly a verb or noun?

"Quietly" is an adverb.

Here's why:

* Adverbs describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They tell us how, when, where, or to what extent something happens.

* Verbs are action words.

* Nouns are names of people, places, or things.

In the sentence "He walked quietly," "quietly" describes how he walked.
