What do the Chinese people call their alphabet?

Chinese people don't have an alphabet in the traditional sense like English or Spanish. They use a writing system called 汉字 (hànzì), which is comprised of characters. Each character represents a word or morpheme (meaningful unit of language).

Therefore, there's no single word for "alphabet" in Chinese, as their writing system is fundamentally different.
