What does mokuyobi mean?

"Mokuyoubi" (木曜日) is the Japanese word for Thursday.

It literally means "tree day", but it's not related to trees in any way. It's a reference to the old Japanese calendar system, where each day was associated with an element. Thursday was assigned the element "wood" (木, "ki").
