What part of speech is end?

"End" can be several parts of speech depending on its use in a sentence:

* Noun: The end of the story was surprising. (Indicates a point in time or space)

* Verb: The meeting will end at 5 pm. (Indicates a process of coming to a conclusion)

* Adjective: He was at the end of his rope. (Indicates a state of being finished or complete)
