Is speech a concrete noun or an abstract noun?

"Speech" is an abstract noun. Here's why:

* Concrete nouns refer to things that can be physically touched or experienced with the senses. Examples: table, book, flower.

* Abstract nouns refer to ideas, qualities, states of being, or concepts. These things cannot be physically touched. Examples: love, happiness, freedom, time.

While we can hear speech, it's not a physical object itself. It's the act of communicating through spoken words.
