Is there any words without a vowel?

You're right! There are no words in the English language that are made up entirely of consonants.

Here's why:

* Vowels are the building blocks of sound: Vowels represent the core sounds that make up words. Without them, we wouldn't be able to pronounce words.

* English pronunciation rules: Even words that seem like they might only have consonants often have implied vowels. For example, "rhythm" actually has a silent "e" at the end, which influences the pronunciation.

So, while there are words with very few vowels (like "fly" or "shy"), there are no words without any vowels at all.
