Do you capitalize lithium in the middle of a sentence?

You would capitalize "lithium" at the beginning of a sentence but not in the middle.

Here's an example:

* Lithium is a soft, silvery-white alkali metal.

* The battery is made with lithium ions.

Let me know if you have any other capitalization questions!
