What part of speech is inexplicable?

"Inexplicable" is an adjective.

Here's why:

* It describes a noun: It tells us something about a noun, such as "The silence was inexplicable" or "His behavior was inexplicable."

* It answers the question "what kind?": You could say "What kind of silence?" and the answer would be "inexplicable silence."
