What is another name for tendons?

There isn't really another common name for tendons. They are a very specific type of connective tissue.

However, you might hear them referred to as:

* Connective tissue cords - This is a more general term that emphasizes their role in connecting muscles to bones.

* Muscle tendons - This simply clarifies that we are talking about the tendons that connect muscles.

* Ligaments - While ligaments are also connective tissue, they connect bones to bones, not muscles to bones.

It's important to note that "tendons" is the most accurate and widely understood term.
