Does the Spanish word change to if a hair?

The Spanish word for "hair" is pelo. It does not change based on the number of hairs, like in English where we use "hair" for a single strand and "hairs" for multiple strands.

Here are some examples:

* Tengo el pelo largo. (I have long hair.)

* Me encontré un pelo en la sopa. (I found a hair in my soup.)

* Le cortaron los pelos a la niña. (They cut the girl's hair.)

In all these cases, the Spanish word pelo remains the same, regardless of how many strands are being discussed.
