How many letters are in the classical Latin alphabet?

The classical Latin alphabet has 23 letters:

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, V, X, Y, Z.

It's important to note that J and U were not part of the original Latin alphabet. They were introduced later.
