What shape is used to create a cuneiform?

Cuneiform writing wasn't created using a specific shape, but rather a wedge-shaped mark, hence the name "cuneiform" (from the Latin *cuneus* meaning "wedge").

The marks were made by pressing a stylus (a tool with a triangular or rectangular tip) into a clay tablet. The different orientations and combinations of these wedge-shaped marks formed the individual characters that represented syllables, words, or even entire concepts.
