What poem would you write if are a poet?

The Whispering Walls

The walls, they whisper secrets old,

Of laughter, tears, and stories told.

They've seen the rise and fall of dreams,

And felt the sting of love's extremes.

Each crack and stain, a memory traced,

Of battles fought, and lives embraced.

The dust motes dance in fading light,

A silent waltz through day and night.

The floorboards creak with every step,

As ghosts of laughter softly swept.

A whisper lingers in the air,

A melody of joy and despair.

The windows gaze upon the world,

A silent witness, story unfurled.

They've seen the sun, the moon, the stars,

And felt the touch of love's sweet scars.

So listen closely, if you dare,

To the secrets that the walls declare.

For in their whispers, you will find,

The echoes of humanity enshrined.
