What does xylography mean?

Xylography is a fancy word for woodcut printing. It refers to the art and technique of carving a design into a block of wood, then using that block to create a print by applying ink to the raised surfaces and pressing the block onto paper.

So, when you hear "xylography," think of a traditional woodcut print!
