Is the word resolution a prefix or suffix?

"Resolution" is neither a prefix nor a suffix. It's a complete word on its own.

* Prefixes are added to the beginning of a word to modify its meaning (e.g., "un" in "unhappy").

* Suffixes are added to the end of a word to modify its meaning (e.g., "ing" in "walking").

"Resolution" can be used in a compound word, such as "high-resolution," but in that case, "high" is the prefix, not "resolution."
