When was the word anger introduced to English?

The word "anger" has been a part of the English language for a very long time, dating back to Old English (roughly 450-1150 AD).

In Old English, the word was spelled "angor" and it came from the Proto-Germanic word "*angr*".

It's interesting to note that the concept of anger has been around for much longer than the word itself, as it's a universal human emotion.
