Is built an irregular verb or regular verb?

"Built" is the past participle of the irregular verb build.

Here's why:

* Regular verbs form their past tense and past participle by adding "-ed" to the base form. For example: walk - walked, play - played.

* Irregular verbs have their own unique forms for the past tense and past participle. For example: go - went - gone, see - saw - seen.

Since "built" is not formed by adding "-ed" to "build", it is an irregular verb.
