Can you use regular verbs with irregular verbs?

You can't use regular verbs *with* irregular verbs in the sense of combining them into a single word or phrase.

However, you can use regular and irregular verbs together in a sentence. For example:

* She walked quickly to the store and bought some milk. (walked - regular, bought - irregular)

* I see the bird flying high above the trees. (see - irregular, flying - irregular)

The key is that each verb is conjugated correctly based on its own rules.

* Regular verbs follow a consistent pattern for forming their past tense and past participle (adding -ed or -d).

* Irregular verbs have unpredictable forms that need to be memorized.

So, while you can't combine them in a strange way, you can use them together in sentences where they each play their own role.
