How do you change a noun into and adjectives?

You can't directly "change" a noun into an adjective. However, you can create adjectives derived from nouns using several methods:

1. Adding Suffixes:

* -al: *nation* (noun) -> *national* (adjective)

* -ful: *hope* (noun) -> *hopeful* (adjective)

* -ic: *history* (noun) -> *historic* (adjective)

* -ous: *courage* (noun) -> *courageous* (adjective)

* -y: *wind* (noun) -> *windy* (adjective)

* -ish: *child* (noun) -> *childish* (adjective)

* -en: *wood* (noun) -> *wooden* (adjective)

2. Using Prefixes:

* un-: *happy* (adjective) -> *unhappy* (adjective)

* im-: *possible* (adjective) -> *impossible* (adjective)

* in-: *visible* (adjective) -> *invisible* (adjective)

* dis-: *agree* (verb) -> *disagree* (verb) - This can create adjectives too

3. Using Compound Words:

* heart + broken -> *heartbroken* (adjective)

* sun + shine -> *sunshine* (adjective)

4. Using Phrases:

* *of the sea*: *sea* (noun) -> *of the sea* (adjective phrase)

* *like a dream*: *dream* (noun) -> *like a dream* (adjective phrase)

Important Notes:

* Not all nouns can be turned into adjectives.

* Sometimes, a noun can be used directly as an adjective, like "summer vacation".

* The meaning of the adjective derived from a noun might differ slightly from the original noun's meaning.
