What is oregano called in Hindi or Tamil?

Oregano is called:

* अजवाइन (Ajwain) in Hindi.

* ஓரிக்காயம் (Orikkaayam) in Tamil.

However, it's important to note that "Ajwain" in Hindi and "Orikkaayam" in Tamil actually refer to "Carom Seeds", which are a completely different spice than oregano.

True oregano is not commonly used in Indian cuisine and therefore does not have a widely recognized name in Hindi or Tamil.
